Reef Biome features Rhodopseudomonas palustris, a versatile purple non-sulphur bacterium (PNSB) known for its powerful water-purifying and ecological restoration properties. Capable of photosynthesis, heterotrophy, and denitrification, it supports the natural breakdown of organic matter and helps reduce nutrients such as ammonia, nitrite, nitrate, phosphate, and sludge in marine aquariums.

Reef Biome also produces valuable nutrients such as microbial proteins, vitamins, and antioxidants, serving as live planktonic feed for filter feeders like sponges, NPS corals, and clams.
